The Blue Line

After a 5:00 am start, two layovers which involved literally running to catch my connecting flight in Charlotte, I arrived in D.C. at 6:00 pm local time. A friend picked me up at the Baltimore airport and we proceeded to see the sites that will host the inauguration festivities tomorrow. The highlight was walking along the "Blue Line" which shows the route the inaugural parade will take. The city was starting to get into secure mode so there were policemen and dump trucks (I am not quite sure what they are here for other than the fact that they are heavy...?) all over the place. There is definitely an excitement in the city and there were people dancing in the streets and Obama merchandise being peddled throughout the city. - Cody
